Woodmansey Scout Group is creating more opportunities for young people in Woodmansey and the surrounding area to experience Scouts closer to home.

We\’re building a welcoming local Scout community where young people can make friends, try new things, develop confidence and begin their own Scouting adventure.

Our Sections

Woodmansey Scout Group provides Scouting for young people aged 4 to 14, across four sections:

• Squirrels – ages 4 to 6

• Beavers – ages 6 to 8

• Cubs – ages 8 to 10½

• Scouts – ages 10½ to 14 (not currently open but looking for volunteers, to start this section)

Each section has its own programme designed around the age and interests of its young people, with opportunities to progress through the Group as they get older.

What We Get Up To

Our programmes are built around fun, adventure and learning by doing.

That might mean getting creative, cooking something new, playing games, heading outdoors, completing challenges or learning practical skills.

Young people also have opportunities to earn badges and awards, work as part of a team and discover just how much they\’re capable of.

More Than Just a Weekly Meeting

Being part of Woodmansey Scout Group connects young people to the wider world of Scouts.

Alongside weekly meetings, there are opportunities to attend camps, activity days, nights away, trips and events with other Scouts from across Beverley & Hornsea.

As our Group continues to grow, we\’re excited to see even more adventures and opportunities available to local young people.

Our Volunteer Team

As a growing Scout Group, volunteers are particularly important to our future.

You might want to help at meetings, share a particular skill, support occasional activities or help behind the scenes. You don\’t need any previous Scouting experience to become part of the team.

By volunteering, you\’ll be helping to build something that can benefit young people in Woodmansey for years to come.
