5th Beverley (Wesley) Scout Group gives young people the chance to try new things, make friends, build confidence and enjoy all the opportunities that being part of Scouts brings.
Our welcoming Group provides a varied programme of activities and experiences, encouraging every young person to get involved, challenge themselves and discover what they\'re capable of.
Our Sections
5th Beverley (Wesley) provides Scouting for young people aged 4 to 14, across four sections:
Squirrels – ages 4 to 6 (not currently open but looking for volunteers, to start this section)
- Beavers – ages 6 to 8
- Cubs – ages 8 to 10½
- Scouts – ages 10½ to 14
Each section has its own programme designed around the age and interests of its young people, with plenty of opportunities to progress through the Group as they get older.
What We Get Up To
There\'s always something different happening at 5th Beverley (Wesley)!
One week might involve getting creative or learning a new skill, while another could see our young people cooking, heading outdoors, playing games or tackling a team challenge.
Young people work towards badges and awards along the way while developing teamwork, confidence, independence and practical skills.
Whatever we\'re doing, the aim is simple – have fun, learn something new and give it a go!
More Than Just a Weekly Meeting
Scouting doesn\'t stop at the end of our weekly meetings.
Throughout the year, our young people can take part in camps, nights away, activity days, trips and larger events with other Scouts from across Beverley & Hornsea and beyond.
These experiences give young people the chance to discover new places, experience bigger adventures and create some brilliant memories.
Our Volunteer Team
Behind every great Scout adventure is a team of volunteers helping to make it happen.
Our volunteers bring different skills, interests and experiences to the Group, and you don\'t need any previous Scouting experience to join us.
