1st Leven Scout Group gives young people from Leven and the surrounding villages opportunities to have fun, make friends, develop confidence and experience adventure.
From weekly activities to camps and bigger events, we give young people the chance to get involved, challenge themselves and discover new interests in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Our Sections
1st Leven provides Scouting for young people aged 4 to 14, across four sections:
- Squirrels – ages 4 to 6
- Beavers – ages 6 to 8
- Cubs – ages 8 to 10½
- Scouts – ages 10½ to 14
Each section has its own programme designed around the age and interests of its young people, with plenty of opportunities to progress through the Group as they get older.
What We Get Up To
At 1st Leven, we believe the best way to learn is by getting stuck in!
Our programme can include games, challenges, crafts, cooking, outdoor activities, practical skills and opportunities to explore the world around us.
Young people work together, solve problems and take on new challenges while developing confidence and independence and working towards badges and awards.
Most importantly, we have plenty of fun along the way.
More Than Just a Weekly Meeting
Some of the best Scouting memories happen away from our normal meeting place.
Our young people have opportunities to enjoy camps, nights away, activity days, trips and events, giving them the chance to put their skills into practice and experience something new.
Being part of Beverley & Hornsea Scouts also brings opportunities to join bigger adventures alongside young people from across the District and further afield.
Our Volunteer Team
Our volunteers are at the heart of 1st Leven and make everything we do possible.
Some help regularly at meetings, while others support particular activities, events or work behind the scenes. You don\'t need previous Scouting experience and support is available to help you get started.
Whatever time or skills you can offer, we\'d love to have you involved.
