Brandesburton Scout Group provides a welcoming place for young people to have fun, make friends, learn new skills and experience adventure.
We\’re proud to be part of our local community, giving young people opportunities to develop confidence and independence while making memories and having plenty of fun along the way.
Our Sections
Brandesburton Scout Group provides Scouting for young people aged 4 to 14, across four sections:
Squirrels – ages 4 to 6
Beavers – ages 6 to 8
Cubs – ages 8 to 10½
Scouts – ages 10½ to 14
Each section has its own programme designed around the age and interests of its young people, with plenty of opportunities to progress through the Group as they get older.
What We Get Up To
Scouts is about learning by doing – and that\’s exactly what our young people get to do.
Activities can range from games, crafts and cooking to outdoor skills, team challenges, hikes and exploring the countryside around us.
Young people work towards badges and awards while developing teamwork, resilience, problem-solving skills and confidence – often without even realising they\’re learning!
More Than Just a Weekly Meeting
Weekly meetings are only part of the adventure.
Throughout the year there are opportunities for camps, nights away, trips and activity days, as well as larger events alongside other Scouts from across Beverley & Hornsea.
These experiences give young people the opportunity to push themselves a little further, experience something different and make some brilliant memories.

There are lots of ways to help, from working directly with young people to supporting activities, events or helping behind the scenes.
No previous Scouting experience is required, and we\’ll support you to get involved in a way that works for you.
