1st Molescroft Scout Group gives young people opportunities to experience adventure, challenge themselves and develop skills that will stay with them for life.
Through a varied programme of activities, our young people can discover new interests, grow in confidence and make great friends along the way.
Our Sections
1st Molescroft provides Scouting for young people aged 4 to 14, across four sections:
Squirrels – ages 4 to 6 (not currently open but looking for volunteers, to start this section)
Beavers – ages 6 to 8
Cubs – ages 8 to 10½
Scouts – ages 10½ to 14
Each section has its own programme designed around the age and interests of its young people, with plenty of opportunities to progress through the Group as they get older.
What We Get Up To
Our programme is all about getting involved.
Young people might find themselves cooking, building, creating, exploring, solving challenges or developing their outdoor skills – and the next week could be completely different.
Activities encourage teamwork, independence, problem solving and confidence while giving young people opportunities to earn badges and awards.
Above all, we want our young people to enjoy themselves and look forward to coming back each week.
More Than Just a Weekly Meeting
Some of the biggest adventures happen outside our normal meetings.
Camps, nights away, activity days and trips give young people opportunities to experience new things and put their developing skills into practice.
Being part of Beverley & Hornsea Scouts also brings opportunities to take part in events with other young people from across the District and further afield.
Our Volunteer Team
A dedicated team of volunteers makes all of this possible.
Our volunteers come from different backgrounds and bring different skills to the team. There\'s no requirement to have been a Scout before, and you don\'t have to commit every week.
Whether you want to work directly with young people, help occasionally or support the Group behind the scenes, there\'s an opportunity to get involved.
